Cynthia Luna, MBA
Ms. Luna has a history of pioneering leadership in business and community development. Born in Mexico City, while in college she founded a leadership development and service-learning program, teaching leadership principles to young adults through community service in underserved areas. In 2000, she became the first woman sales manager for the Latin American division of ADC Telecommunications. She was also the first woman — and the first young adult — to serve on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Mexico, and from 2002 to 2006 held an elected position on the Executive Committee of the World Alliance of YMCAs, based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Prior to forming LF Leadership, Ms. Luna worked for Shorebank Advisory Services, the consulting arm of ShoreBank Corporation, the first and largest community development bank in the United States. Previously, she worked for the Loyola Family Business Center, serving large family businesses in the United States, and ADC Telecommunications, a leading international supplier of broadband equipment.
Ms. Luna is certified as an Integral Coach by New Ventures West and is a member of the International Coach Federation. She holds an MBA in Organizational Development and Operations from Loyola University, Chicago, and received her BA in International Business from ITESM University, Mexico.
Ms. Luna collaborates in Mexico with Evolutiva, an Executive Coaching firm dedicated to developing top business leaders in the country.

Max Freund,
MIIM
Prior to co-founding LF Leadership, Mr. Freund was a consultant with The Alford Group, a national consulting firm to the non-profit sector that has assisted more than 1,000 clients nationwide over its 25-year history. Mr. Freund provided strategic and operational fundraising counsel to organizations in the religious, education, and community development sectors. Previously, Mr. Freund was Assistant Director of World Service at the YMCA of the USA, where he carried out a nationwide campaign raising $1.2 million annually for international programs and partnerships of the YMCA. He also directed a leadership development and reconciliation program in Cape Town, South Africa.
Mr. Freund has served in a range of volunteer leadership roles for non-profit organizations, including on the boards of the Mankind Project-Chicago and the HotHouse. He has served in an advisory capacity to North Park University's Axelson Center for Non-profit Management, the University of Illinois Extension Chicago-Cook Unit, the Foundation for Human Potential, Friends World Program of Long Island University, and Boys to Men-Chicago.
Mr. Freund holds a Master's degree in Intercultural and
International Management from the School for International Training,
and a Bachelor's degree from Friends World Program of Long Island
University. He is currently a doctoral student in
Organizational Behavior at Claremont Graduate University's
School of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences.
